Oil Formation Lab
Hello. This is my oil formation lab. Here we put lettuce in two bags. One bag would go in the fridge and the other would stay out. Me and my group predicted that the cold lettuce would last longer because it is being preserved and not left out rotting.

Hello. This is my oil formation lab. Here we put lettuce in two bags. One bag would go in the fridge and the other would stay out. Me and my group predicted that the cold lettuce would last longer because it is being preserved and not left out rotting.
Materials:
- 2 zip lock bags
- 1 refrigerator
- Lettuce
- 2 beakers
- Markers (to write your groups name)
What to do with materials:
- Get all your lettuce together
- Get your beakers and put in the same amount of lettuce in both
- Put the lettuce in both bags and make sure there is no air in the bag
- Roll them up and measure the circumference with a tape measure (preferably a roll up measure)
- Jot down data on your paper and put one bag in the fridge and the other outside
- Give this about a week or less and your results will show
Here you can see the bag which went in to the fridge. It is still green and only some parts with brown on it.
This is the warm lettuce. As you can see it has turned into a liquid and looks nothing like the refrigerated one. It was really nasty and squishy.
